Advertising Disclosure

Where our revenue comes from, how ads and partnerships are handled, and why those relationships do not change our editorial guidance.

Running an independent site costs money. Servers, research time, writers, and editors are not free. To keep our content free for readers, Water Mitigation Hub may earn revenue from advertising and partner relationships. This page explains how that works and what we will not do.

Display advertising

Pages on Water Mitigation Hub may show display advertising provided by third-party ad networks. These ads are visually separated from editorial content, are labeled as advertisements, and are placed away from clickable site controls so they are not mistaken for navigation, recommendations, or calls to action.

  • We do not control which specific ads appear on any given page.
  • We do not allow ad placements that imitate native site components or that create accidental-click layouts.
  • We do not show pop-ups or interstitials that interrupt reading.

Future sponsored listings

We may later offer sponsored listings or featured placements for relevant service providers and software vendors. When that happens:

  • The sponsored item will be visually distinct and labeled as sponsored.
  • Sponsorship will not be presented as an editorial recommendation.
  • Sponsorship will not move an item up or down inside an editorial comparison.

Future referral and affiliate partnerships

We may earn referral fees from partner platforms that connect homeowners with service providers. When a page contains affiliate links or referral arrangements, that page will state it clearly. We do not silently insert paid links into editorial content.

Editorial independence

Editorial guidance is produced separately from any advertising or partnership conversations. Advertisers and partners cannot:

  • See drafts before publication.
  • Approve or change article content.
  • Purchase placement inside editorial rankings.
  • Buy ratings, badges, or testimonials.

Ads do not control editorial content

If a recommendation feels influenced by advertising, tell us. Email [email protected] with the page URL and a short note. Read our editorial policy for the full separation rules.

Your responsibility as a reader

Information on this site, including any future comparisons or directories, is a starting point for your own research. It is not a guarantee that any specific company is right for your situation. Before signing anything, verify the details that matter for your home.

Verifying a contractor before hiring

  • Confirm current licensing and insurance in your state or municipality.
  • Read independent reviews from sources outside the company itself.
  • Request a written estimate and a clear scope of work before signing.
  • Ask for two or three recent local references and call them.
  • Be cautious of broad authorization forms that allow open-ended work or assign your insurance proceeds to the contractor.

How to contact us about advertising

Advertising FAQs

  • The site is prepared to display ads in clearly labeled placements. Whether ads appear on a given page depends on the ad network, the page, and the visitor. Ads are visually separated from editorial content.
